Differences between a resume and a CV
Both a resume and CV contain a Summary Statement that tries to capture the best of you in 100 words or less.
Resume
- It is a concise document
- A synopsis of the most relevant professional experiences you have for the particular job for which you are applying.
- One page, sometimes two pages
- A resume doesn't have to be ordered chronologically, it is highly customized document.
CV

It is lengthy, contains a high level of detail
- A summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and Achievements.
- Two pages or a little more
- The documents tends to be organized chronologically and should make easy to get an overview of an individual's full profile
