Resume Vs CV

Differences between a resume and a CV

Both a resume and CV contain a Summary Statement that tries to capture the best of you in 100 words or less.

Resume

  • It is a concise document
  • A synopsis of the most relevant professional experiences you have for the particular job for which you are applying.
  •  One page, sometimes two pages
  • A resume doesn't have to be ordered chronologically, it is highly customized document.

CV

  •    It is lengthy, contains a high level of detail
  •  A summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and  research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and Achievements.
  • Two pages or a little more
  • The documents tends to be organized chronologically and should make easy to get an overview of an individual's full profile

Can you work under Pressure?

If you preparing for Interviews, here is one more question HR/Interviewer can demand you.

Can you work under Pressure?

Let’s see how you can respond to it. But you should clarify HOW you handled that Pressure.

HR:

·         Can you work under Pressure?

·         Can you tell me about a time when you were under significant  pressure?

·         Do you thrive under pressure?

Interviewee: Yes, I can. (Say confidently, though you are not recollecting some events/ moments/ situation at that time)

NOTE- “Yes, I can” is the time frame you have given to recollect situation where you found yourself under stress and how you handled that situation very well.

Answer 1- I actually work better under pressure and I've found that I enjoy working in a challenging environment.

Answer 2- I can work under deadlines and pressures and planning lead to success that's what I believe the most.

Answer 3- I can. Pressure and stress are unavoidable aspects of the world we live in. In my current job, I can be faced with stressful situations that require me to work under pressure on a daily basis and have since learned to manage stress. Now it’s just part of the job that I do well.”

Answer 4- “Yes, I actually enjoy working under pressure, though I believe that proper planning and good time management will reduce any alarming deadlines.”

Answer 5-. “Yes, I work well under pressure. But I believe that by simply reacting to a situation, you are creating the pressure. Instead of reacting to a problem, I will review the facts at a greater speed and respond to the situation with a solution all while keeping a clear head.”

The key to formulating your answer to this question is to seize this as an opportunity to talk about a situation or an occasion where you were under pressure – and you how rose to the challenge.

Remember, Pressure is largely a positive force and a motivating factor for many people.
