Resume Vs CV

Differences between a resume and a CV

Both a resume and CV contain a Summary Statement that tries to capture the best of you in 100 words or less.

Resume

  • It is a concise document
  • A synopsis of the most relevant professional experiences you have for the particular job for which you are applying.
  •  One page, sometimes two pages
  • A resume doesn't have to be ordered chronologically, it is highly customized document.

CV

  •    It is lengthy, contains a high level of detail
  •  A summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and  research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and Achievements.
  • Two pages or a little more
  • The documents tends to be organized chronologically and should make easy to get an overview of an individual's full profile
